Very disappointing. The showers are disgraceful. Poor open hours for Bar and Food. The rooms desperately need refurbishment. Tried many times and could not book in on line. Employee Peter told us we could not use our Accor cards for 50% meals (two people) as there was not enough food 🤣. Employee Justin corrected this advice after we queried the validity of it. All other staff were very good.

Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing due to several issues related to check-in, housekeeping, and customer service. I arrived at the hotel at 11:00 AM and requested an early check-in, as I had just completed a long flight. The staff informed me that check-in was strictly from 3:00 PM, which was disappointing, especially since my Agoda booking confirmation had stated a check-in time of 2:00 PM. When I pointed this out, I was still denied early check-in. Meanwhile, my friends staying at the Novotel next door were allowed to check in at 11:00 AM, making the inconsistency even more frustrating. Upon returning at 2:00 PM, I was again told that my room might not be ready yet. This made it seem as though I had arrived early, which was not the case. A simple explanation, such as acknowledging a high occupancy the previous night, would have been appreciated. Every other hotel I have stayed at at least starts the check-in process, allowing guests to simply collect their keys later. However, the staff at Ibis refused to do this, adding to the inconvenience. During check-in, I was informed that housekeeping would only clean my room upon request. However, on Friday, my room was serviced without my request. More concerning was that I found a sketch of Gollum from The Lord of the Rings on the hotel notepad, placed between my PNC coin collection. The words “My Precious” were written above the drawing. This was unsettling and unprofessional, especially as I had not expected anyone to enter my room. On Sunday morning, I asked for a late checkout until 12:00 PM but was told this was not possible. When I went to check out at 11:30 AM, there were three parties ahead of me. To my surprise, all three were being checked in early. This was particularly frustrating, as I had been denied an early check-in earlier in the week. If early check-ins were allowed on a busy Sunday morning, I fail to understand why they were refused on a quieter Wednesday. Overall, my stay at Ibis was disappointing. The inconsistent policies, lack of flexibility, and unprofessional housekeeping incident left a negative impression. Based on this experience, I will not be staying at this hotel again.
