The new pool area is very good with an excellent children's area. The food at the restaurant was great. On the flip side, I wasn't offered complementary drinks on arrival, which is meant to be a perk of being a silver member.

Good stay but uncomfortable bed linen, no blockout curtains

Stayed in the Novotel side of the hotel. I stay here regularly and had trouble sleeping due to excessive light coming into the room. The doors have a gap which lets light in from the corridors. No blockout blinds so the curtains let light in from the hotel lights on the outside of the building. Food is excellent and service is great. Just need to make some improvements on darkness of the rooms.

In desperate need of an upgrade

Externally, the hotel looks really nice. The staff at check in were polite and friendly. The hallways and room however - Not nice at all. I was pretty shocked and disappointed by the room. It had a musty smell, old, torn carpet and tired furniture. Fortunately, the bedding, towels and bathrooms were clean. If cleanliness had been an issue, I would not have stayed. We only needed the room for overnight accommodation due to a late flight and would never stay here otherwise/again. Feel pretty ripped off for the price for the state of the room.

Inefficient check in process

No complaints about room but arriving at 1:30 in the morning from a 5 hour flight and waiting nearly an hour to get to room is unacceptable, especially when having already done an online check in pre flight.
