1. Paid $55 for a bottle of champagne on arrival - This did not arrive - Had to request a refund. 2. Noted in special requests when booking it was mothers day and my sons 8th birthday. After cancelling the champagne and going for a swim we returned to 2 x macaroons on a plate with a card for my sons birthday. It felt like more of an apology for messing up the champagne. It included a coffee macaroon - not particularly suitable for an 8 year old 3. Went to reception to request towels for the pool as my partner and children were in the pool and could not get out as there were no towels. upon requesting I was told not to get them from reception and that they are in the pool area which i confirmed there was none. I then went to join the family in the pool. We waited over 45 minutes to get towels after requesting them 3 times as well as other families calling reception. 4. Went to bar around 10pm - I asked if the bar was open. The person serving did not even have the decency to look at me, They simply said sorry bar is closed and moved on. I've worked in hospitality for 10 years. This was poor. 4. This was hard given my last stay in a Novatel included standing in human feces in the pool area in QLD with no care from staff. Extremely disappointed and will be searching for alternatives in the future.

We take pride in our hotel's amenities, including the InBalance Fitness Centre with its indoor heated pool, and any situation that detracts from a guest's experience is taken very seriously. Additionally, we understand that a warm and personable service from our staff, particularly at the Lane Bar, contributes significantly to the enjoyment of your stay. It is disappointing to learn that this was not the case on this occasion. We appreciate your feedback on the bed comfort as we aim to provide a restful environment with our 4-star amenities, including a pillow menu for personalized comfort. We note your concerns regarding the arrival and housekeeping services and would like to assure you that daily housekeeping and attentive guest service are standards we are committed to maintaining. My daughters and I stayed with Novotel the night prior to Mother’s Day as a treat and to see Wicked. The room was fine, suited to our needs. The lighting is very dim. My 9 year old was almost unable to reach the hand soap dispenser. We all commented how drying the soap was and no body lotion. The conditioner dispenser was either clogged or empty, not ideal to discover mid shower. All that aside we had a lovely night and the kids especially loved breakfast the next day! Thank you.

As always they allowed us to drop of our bags prior to going to our show at the Regent at 1.30pm. Beautiful service and great food in the restaurant. Thanks Ema. Lovely breakfast and late check out. Very family orientated. We just live the Novotel, Collins Street.

Very Disappointed with the Junior Suite and overall stay at the Novotel on Collins. The lights on the bed head did not work. We asked to have the sofa/couch dressed so we could use it as a bed. We were then advised that it was out of order and given a pull-out bed instead which was terrible. If a room does not have equipment in order, do not use the room. Obviously, profits come before guests.
