No free internet access. Very old elevators

First time staying in a hotel without free internet access. It’s 2024, even old airbnbs have free wifi. Elevators are really old. Staff kept clarifying and charging for my breakfast buffet (not seemingly aware it was part of the package) Only redeeming factor is the breakfast buffet. Good food.

Tired furniture and bathrooms

Pre-Covid, I used to stay in Sofitel hotels very regularly, but since COVID, not much. I am really underwhelmed! The buffet breakfast was in a dining room full of blue vinyl-covered chairs showing great signs of wear and tear, which made things feel subpar for what Accor describes as a 5-star hotel. My husband and I both found the coffee to be undrinkable! Removing the bathroom plug fitting revealed a dirty mess.

Beds on the old side but Just ok, being creaky & humped in middle. Room generally good. But 2 of 4 lifts operating.....that was poor, and unfortunate/ unnecessary.
