Great Stay at a Comfortable Hotel

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. We stayed in the Classic Executive Room for 5 days and 4 nights, and it was perfect for our needs. The shower had excellent water pressure, which felt incredibly refreshing, making it a great way to unwind after a long day. The location is ideal, with restaurants and food stalls just across the street. The nearby Lalaport Bukit Bintang mall is only a 10-minute walk away, perfect for shopping. For TRX Mall, it’s more convenient to take a GRAB ride. The breakfast offered was good, but the variety of dishes could be improved for a better experience. Overall, I would rate the hotel 9/10, mainly due to the limited breakfast options. Still, it was a great stay, and I would highly recommend it!

Damned air con

Each night for some unknown reason the hotel programmes the aircon to come on at a freezing temp at full blast fan. Why??? My real problem is that I informed hotel management that I did not want this to happen. For one night only, the aircon did not come on. The other night, 5 in fact the aircon blasts on. To make matters worse, I spoke to the duty manager and he assured me that he would look into why all this happened and he would send me an email explaining what he had done to rectify the situation. Yep……still waiting for the email.

Rooms were older but well maintained. It lacked modern amenities such as WiFi (yes wifi was non-existant in the room i stayed) and Smart TV. Service staff was great. We had an issue with a rattling air-con vent and they fixed it in a couple of hours. The shower water pressure was fantastic. Location was great and nearby to several malls and eating places. There was also a massage salon on L3. Breakfast buffet was basic and underwhelming.

Bad WIFI and Guest Service

On the day I checked in (19 Mar), the WIFI speed was ~4Mbps for both download and upload. I approach the front desk, gave me a different password but problem persists. Manager claimed that IT has gone home and nothing he can do. I could not complete my work which requires online submission. The next evening, the same issue. A different manager tried using a "special" password and the speed was 230Mbps for both upload and download. However, when I return to the room, the speed drops back to 5Mbps. I approach the manager and he told me to do my work at the lobby cafe. I spent the next 50mins there in order to complete my work. This is unacceptable as I have to work at the cafe instead of the comfort of my room. On the second night, I requested for late check out at 2pm and was granted. Manager updated my room key card and assures me that I can check out at 2pm. On the day of check out, a service staff came knocking at the door at 1:25pm to check if I'm checking out. I told him that I will check out before 2pm. Approx. 8mins later, the phone rang and again another service staff ask if I'm going to check out. I felt being "chased" to check out half an hour before the granted time. I never expected that being an Accor Plus member. It makes me feel that the membership is "cheap". The service was very different when Is stayed with the hotel about 10 months ago.
