Not worth it not even close.

We stayed here for 2 nights on a weekend for a destination wedding. The room was spacious. The air conditioning was cold and strong. The room was clean and the bathroom was fine the kitchen was laughable as you didn’t have a cooktop due to “fire regulations” (cheapskates) you only get a kettle and a fridge. The shower pressure is fair the beds are very comfortable. Room service is non existent as is finishes at 830pm. Plus any order they jab you $5 just to deliver, if you want anything before 830. Parking is easy bit the rest is rubbish. For $400 a night this hotel isn’t worth it but Gerringong itself is just a tourist trap for destination weddings. Avoid if you can it just isn’t that good.

Room fine, bad value, fix your late checkout experience

Very strange to have to call the morning of to confirm a late checkout, with the latest possible checkout at only 11am, when the hotel was clearly nearly empty on a Tuesday in Gerringong. How is it not possible to arrange a late checkout the night before? I even offered to pay for the late checkout. I had to work during the day and chose to stay at a huge chain hotel like Mercure because I expected it would be simple to organise a late checkout at midday. Turns out it was a bad choice. The entry level rooms were ridiculously dark, so I upgraded, then could hear the highway loudly from my room. And despite the hotel being nearly empty, I was placed in an adjacent room to other guests, who you could hear through the wall. Bed and bathroom and view perfectly nice. But I wish I'd stayed somewhere else, what an inconvenient and bad value experience for a hotel that's not even in the center of town. Really disappointed. I had been planning to use this hotel for our wedding guests in future and definitely won't be doing that now.
