Excellent place to stay. Beautiful rooms, magnificent gardens, great food! And if you need to get around, contact Jacky (pronounced JAY kee) at 855 98 511 533. Not only can he get you where you want to go, he is also very knowlwdeale (and honest) about where best to shop. Whether you're looking for fine art, fine clothes, or souvenirs, he will steer you to the right place.

This hotel is Nirvana to a jet-lagged and dusty tourist and same the next day when I was refreshed. The grounds are a veritable botanic garden, meticulously tended and complete with bird & vegetation guides. The staff from housekeeping to restaurant; lobby personnel to bell hops -so friendly, helpful, engaging!! The towels are huge and fluffy, the bed was a dream, the pool area was super relaxing and the fitness room was well equipped. Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra will not disappoint!!!

Excellent location, in a beautiful tropical garden just outside the center, with some nice shops and eating places around, a few-minutes’ tuctuc ride or a reasonable walk from the Pub street, and on the way to Angkor Wat. The hotel has a relaxed atmosphere of bygone times but everything is super well organised and cared for. We felt looked after, all the personnel was so forthcoming! The food is first quality starting from the ingredients., thoughtful preparation up to an exquisite presentation. Such quality of western food is hard to find in European hotels and here it applied to the variety of cuisines - Khmer, Chinese, Japanese, Indian and more… you can taste products of local farmers too. There are many nice touches like collecting used hotel soaps which would be thrown away for a charity project The beautiful garden is home to a lot of songbirds, and it is a peaceful oasis. Not often the hotel managers take initiative to talk with the guests. I would like to express again a warm appreciation to the director Pascal and all his team. They made our stay an unforgettable experience! We only regret we didn’t stay longer…

Peaceful and Surrounded by Nature

We stayed two nights in room 104. This is a stunning property, spread out, with lots of trees and plants and a large pool with swim-up bar. Check in was simple, and we received a glass of lemongrass tea. The room was spacious with a king size bed. The closet had plenty of space and robes, slippers, and nice, thick towels were provided. The bathroom was very nice with a tub and a shower. There were large bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. They also provided hard bars of soap that were nice. Bottled water and WiFi were included in the price of the room. The bed was comfortable. At night we found a small towel by each side of the bed with additional slippers. It was a nice touch but seemed like overkill. The dinner buffet was incredible with many very tasty options, and the breakfast buffet was also nice. Our visit was very quiet, relaxing, and peaceful. The only thing I'd suggest is that management take steps to address the slippery tiles entering the pool. Until they do so, be very careful when getting into or out of the pool and hold on to the handrail. We found the location convenient for our needs.
