Our room was comfortable and good quality shower. We had a view of the lake which is definitely something to ask for if booking. Although there was a function on one of the nights we were there the staff were friendly in dealing with finding us alternatives. We didn’t like the fact that the air conditioning in our room was on when we arrived and was too cold. Also too cold in breakfast room. But that might speak to others. Take mosquito repellent as it is by a lake.

The hotel, the location, the staff make this hotel a real gem as a Mercure. The downside was the unreliable air conditioning. The system is aging and despite all the kindness and helpfulness of the staff that tried to help resuscitate our unit, we had to move to a different room to be able to sleep. We had two Suites Privilege and experience issues with the Airco in both. Luckily one restarted. Again the hotel, the location, the swimming pool, and the entire staff make that place an amazing spot in Kourou. Kudos to Yohan who helped with our Airco despite the is was off duty.
