Within a mile of York Minster and York railway station and car parking on site from £17.00 per night we are ideally situated and equipped to look after both leisure and business guests all year round. Nice hotel, central, would stay again

Nice hotel. Very central which is what we wanted and £17 for parking compared to the city car parks was ok. The reception staff were ok. The pool was nice but we thought that all school holidays had finished - our problem not the hotel's obviously so the pool had quite a few children in it. No problem apart from a couple of kids who's Mum sat at the side of the pool reading her phone while they messed about so others couldn't swim. As you have to book a 30 minutes slot, maybe you could have swimming only on the hour and beggaring about in the pool on the half hour to suit everyone? Nice warm pool, but not massive. We had a queen sized room, nice, good shower. We had a good laugh when we found someone else's pants behind the sofa 😂 so perhaps needed a deeper clean. A fair bit of noise from the room above us, take your ear plugs just incase. Breakfast provided a good selection of cooked and continental options. The breakfast team were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We had a couple of drinks in the bar which is very modern and nice. £20 for a couple of pints, a fruit juice and a hot chocolate. Hotel bar prices really. Would I stay again? Yes but not during school holidays 😂

We had a decent stay. The staff were always pleasant. The breakfast was good but all the plates and cutlery had a bad dish washer smell which sort of made eating unpleasant. The superior room was disappointing. It was clean enough but rough around the edges. Really not worth the money we paid. The reception area was untidy and the sofa we sat on needed a good vacum and cleaning. The corridor leading to the rooms needed a referb. Not really a full on 4 star experience sorry.

Room was very comfortable and was in a quiet end of a corridor, hotel location and on site car park was convenient . Nice walk into town via the river . Lovely pool and sauna and the bookings managed well by reception. Only negative was a large group of guests with young children who were allowed to have the kids running and shouting around the lobby bar for a few hours on the Saturday and Sunday night ruining the atmosphere for the other guests . They were not asked to sit down or be quiet by the hotel team and it went on until 12:30am despite other guests complaining - feel if they were dogs running around they would have been asked to keep them on a leash and at their table !!!!
