Sub-Budget in standards, way over budget on prices.

Room smelled awful, sheets had brown stains. Tea/coffee only available in reception. No hairdryer. Room was cold as hell, staff had to switch wall heater on which was disabled. Rooms tiny. Food (had burger) was awful, couldn't eat it all. Food had to be eaten in reception/lounge as only option. So doors constantly opening, and eating in a cold, over lit reception area with people checking in a couple of feet away. Asked for receipts for food & drink. Was handed a printout that wasn't a recent, and was issued from a business "Africa Mix Ltd" that used to be owned by manager until it dissolved in Oct 2023. (Info on Companies House). Took 4 asks and 3 members of staff to get a receipt for drinks. For nearly £90 a night, this was far from budget in price, and way worse than budget in practice. Had to pay separate for parking in hotel car park. Wi-Fi was actually decent @ around 70mbps download speeds. Won't be going back!

Exceeded my expectations: Stayed here Saturday night and we were delighted at the standard of accommodation. Rooms very comfortable ( ours were 14 sq ) big enough for a short stay. Very attractive with good lighting. Spotlessly clean. Good shower and fittings. No hairdryer , but for £59.00 for room can't grumble at that. Bed comfy and heating / cooling system effective. Downstairs refreshments area very clean and had a basic but decent help yourself offer, beer/ tea and coffee and a few snacks. Plenty of places nearby to eat so not a problem. Would absolutely recommend this hotel, and would stay here again.

A pleasant, one night stay

I stayed here 1 night as I was working in Loughborough the next day. This is more convenient than staying at some inner city hotels as it’s quick to get on a main trunk routes and onto the M1 - [ ] It’s a no frills hotel. There’s a hot water dispenser with free tea/coffee/milk at reception. That means they don’t need to stock individual rooms. - [ ] room was quiet and shower was great - [ ] parking is an extra cost. register at reception 7kw electric vehicle charge points were being installed, although being so close to reception, I wonder if petrol/deisel vehicles will simply park there? I chose to drive to the nearby Osprey charging hub.
