Fantastic AfternoonTea

We were there for the afternoon tea, $98 each. Fabulous experience. The setting is brilliant, almost British Raj era. Food was very good, the tea, Raffles own Earl Grey was excellent. The staff were outstanding. Polite, courteous, helpful, friendly, humorous. The hotel is huge, seem to walk miles to get to the Boutique shop. We were told that the tea we had drunk was available. The man in the shop said it wasn’t the same, but we bought it anyway, 1.5 Singapore Dollars each bag!!. Also tried to get a Singapore sling. The Writers bar didn’t open until 17:00 and the Long bar had such a queue we couldn’t be bothered waiting

We recently spent our 40th Wedding Anniversary in glorious Raffles Hotel. From the minute we arrived, it was a cocoon of elegance and we were treated as if we were the only people there. Room was stunning (124) and cake, chocolates and cards were laid out for us courtesy of this wonderful abode. Cannot speak highly enough of the staff, everyone went the extra mile for us on this wonderful decadent adventure and heads up to Happy, Vanie, James amongst the many smiley, helpful and polite staff. The Long Bar is a must to visit and if you are staying at Raffles, no need to queue. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our time with you so special. Love Pat and David Reynolds xx
