I came with 3 girl friends for the Carnival weekend. The rooms are not big, but big enough but there was not a lot of space for storing clothes so we just hung up our coats and lived out of our suitcases mostly. This was not a problem for us. The rooms were clean and tidy. The bed is one of the most comfortable I had ever slept in. There is an extra internal door so we did not hear any noise from outside the room too and we slept well. We paid extra for breakfast, which had plenty of choice including bacon, eggs & beans, plus the usual cereals, continental rolls + meats & cheeses, etc. We also paid the extra for secure off-road parking for peace of mind, although the whole area is pretty safe. The hotel is about a 10-15 minute walk into the city centre which is mostly flat and one of the city's attractions - the Marschiertor - was right outside the door. There is a pub/club very nearby (Franz) and the locals were very friendly and encouraged us to join in with the dancing - to a song with some actions, lol. We felt very welcome. We were also made welcome in the various pubs and bars around the town. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. They all spoke English much better than my attempts at German (even though I suspect for a few that German was already their second language). My two friends in the other room had a problem with their shower not draining but this was quickly sorted and as the maintenance team were not available, they were offered another room so the problem was immediately solved. I would definitely recommend staying here and also looking at the booklets provided in reception to see qhere the local attractions are. The Altstadt old town area) is very pretty and the Rathaus (town hall) is huge and quite spectacular. I would be very happy to return for another stay if I am in the area. I also joined the Accor membership (free of charge) before our trip and got a discount by booking direct.

Superb location two minutes walk from the train station and 5 minutes from the center. Parking was freely available both at the hotel and outside. Easy check in and out. Bar very reasonably priced and the Bitburger tasted good!
