Spent a week here and it was a nice hotel. We arrived at 7:00 am after an overnight flight and hoped to just leave our bags while waiting for our room, but the front desk clerk was kind enough to check us in right away. A wonderful surprise that allowed for a quick nap before setting out to explore the city. The location was fantastic, very close to Dam Square, the RLD, and a short walk to Amsterdam Centraal station. Room was fairly tight as with most European hotels, but bed was quite comfortable and clean. I might recommend a Queen bad instead of a King so you have a bit more space to move about. Hotel staff were very friendly, greeting us coming and going. There are some neat touches like the art on the walls depicting various landmarks and areas of Amsterdam, and daily messages to guests inserted into vintage typewriters as a nod to the building's history as a newspaper. Felt very secure with a police station nearby and room card needed to access elevator on 1st floor. Did not eat on the premises but the food looked wonderful.

I wanted to share my experience during my recent stay at your hotel. Unfortunately, I found that the overall experience did not meet my expectations for the price paid. The hotel could be closed to 4 star, and I felt that this was reflected in the quality of the facilities specially the entrance door does not seem it. The room quality was average expectations. The room was not available until late the day, that you dont expect it for a 4 star hotel. The front desk employees are not very kind. Overall, I do not believe the room was worth the price

We stayed here in Feb 2024 but that wasn't on the list of dates! Pros - Friendly staff, Amazing food - we had the breakfast every morning and it was all cooked to absolute perfection every time. Great location not too far from the main streets so it's a great spot if you want a bit quietness as well not to travel too far for the exhibitions. Rooms clean and comfy, Staff went the extra mile for the occasion, Cons - None

Wonderful stay, amazing location, the staff were fantastic - nothing was too much trouble and really went above and beyond! They were all such hard working, friendly and approachable members of staff - really a true asset to the hotel. Room was clean, the bottles of water were a great touch, room a little hot and couldn’t cool it down so wouldn’t like that room in the summer, but we managed. It was a quirky room which showed the character linked to the building use pre-hotel days, the shower and shower facilities were brilliant - the extras like vanity kit, shower cap, shampoo and body wash etc. was top! The fridge in the room was great, and the TV had English channels. Breakfast was really good, shout out to the chef (the older gent) who has just put the scrambled eggs on to cook but realised none left for my breakfast and whipped me up a quick small pan so I didn’t have to wait for the big load to be done - really nice touch! Tram/metro stop both a few mins walk to the left and the right so have the choice of two.

We enjoyed a family break at the Ink Hotel last week. The rooms are small and compact but adequate and quiet and beds very comfortable it’s so close to Dam Square the main train station and all attractions and a tram runs outside the door. The staff are very friendly and do helpful always on hand to give directions and restaurant recommendations. The breakfast is very varied and plentiful though the breakfast room too small for number of guests.
