A very pleasant stay

We didn't want a hotel located in the middle of town but close enough! This hotel location, we felt, was just right with the added bonus of a lovely park to walk through, directly opposite, on the way to and from town. The double bedroom was very nice, clean and spacious, with complimentary coffee making facilities on offer. The hot/cold breakfast buffet on offer had an excellent choice to cover all tastes, savory or sweet. The staff were only too pleased to answer any questions you had and ALL were super friendly.

The bed was good, the shower was good, the staff was friendly and kind. But the room was too warm. 21 degrees Celcius and I had the airco blowing all night, the 2 nights I was staying there, but that didn't help. I briefly had the windows open, but the noise and fumes of the traffic outside made me close the windows again. The room was really noisy. I heard everything in the hallways, including the sliding doors open and close under our room and the maids starting their shifts around 7 in the morning. I bought 2 small bags of crisps for 2 euros a piece, so that was really expensive. I usually try to stay in an Accor hotel (Novotel, Mercure, Ibis) and Mercure is usually the fancier hotel, but next time I'm in Antwerp I will choose a different hotel.
