Loved how practical this hotel was in terms of location, eating facilities & parking provision. It was close to a Tram stop which was a convenient link to the city. It was also walking distance to a shopping centre which was by the tram stop. Parking was £5/ 24 hrs and I oaid at a pay machine there. The dining area had a microwave and hot drink and fruit juice machines during out of hours. On the downside, the room we got was looking out right into a big, busy office space, so we kept our blind closed when we were in the room during the day. The first night, I found the pipes to be noisy so kept waking up but slept better the following night.

We've stayed at this hotel a number of times and will do again. All we're looking for is a comfortable place to sleep after a long day in Edinburgh that has parking, is close to transport into town and at a reasonable price. This hotel fits the bill perfectly. On this occasion, I accidentally booked a different room type than I wanted but when I told the person on reception, there was no issue at all and we were easily swapped within a couple of minutes. Can't ask for more than that.

Check in was straight forward. We were on a stict time frame so dumped are bags and headed straight out. We did not check the room. We expected everything to be there. Upon return we found our 3rd bed had no sheet, pillow or duvet. So at 1am with tired children we had to go back down to reception who were less than apologetic and practically threw the missing items at us. The next day we also found we were missing towels, dirty glass from previous occupants were in the room. Again we attended reception to complain but yet again nothing was done. The hotel was very central for our needs. However I did not except budget to mean you had to make your own bed bed and clean your own room. The breakfast was very limited and never topped up until most things very finished. I would definitely save the money it was not worth it at all.
