I had a terrific stay at Novotel Ningbo East, which is very conveniently located within a few minutes' walk to a train station. There is a massive mall opposite with plenty of food and shopping options, and also a convenience store and cafes right outside the hotel. The staff have provided examplery service, and was at all times very friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable with clean and modern facilities, as well as a lovely view of the city. Highly recommend

The hotel was very good for my business trip. Everything worked well, from check-in to support by the staff regarding my requests. The hotel is 2 min walk from the metro station and a shopping mall with plenty of food options. I particularly liked that the room temperature was pre-set at a "normal" level. I often observe in other hotels in Asia excessive heating in winter or excessive cooling in summer which I don't support due to it's negative environmental impact.

It was ok but there is much room for improvement. My rooms A/C could not be controlled at all. I could not turn it off so my room was 17°C when I woke up in the morning. According to the handbook in the room, it is possible to get a "In a rush" breakfast from 06:30 until 12:00 that can be taken away. When I went to the restaurant on level 3 at about 11:00 to ask for only the coffee from that, as I assumed a coffee is part of the breakfast. No one knew what I was talking about and I was told, to either get a voucher from the reception or I have to pay for it. After getting the voucher I went to get coffee but there was no milk in the fridge anymore so I only got coffee and then hot steam on top. Besides that the inventory is quite worn in some places. The chair in my room looked so dirty, that I only sat on it laying a towel over it and the carpets are quite dirty too. For some of those issue I could have asked the staff to make amends, or improvements, which I did not, thus it is not completely the hotels fault but for a better rating, some things should not need to be asked for or should be known.
