We have just spent 3 nights at the beautiful Sofitel Siem Riep as part of our APT Tour. This exceptional hotel is situated out of town but only a short ride away. The grounds are beautifully cared for and the fresh flowers prepared each day around the hotel by the loyal staff are magnificent. Our room was large with a seperate bathroom The bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. The restaurant meals were something else. The choice available made it very difficult to not over eat . Food was prepared and presented so well. The staff throughout the property were always the same… friendly, smiling, offering help, asking how you were and ensuring there was nothing you wanted. Not sure how many similar hotels are available in Siem Reap, but I couldn’t fault this property

Overall a great stay in this wonderful hotel. The hotel is meticulous maintained, rooms are very well appointed, and service is very high throughout. As Accor ALL Diamond member the stay was nicely enhanced by a room upgrade, welcome amenity and lounge access. The pool and spa were serene and in the case of the spa well priced. The only minor quibble was that the main restaurant Citadel could be better (range and food temperature). The French restaurant Mouhot’s Dream however was excellent. Looking forward to returning soon.

This has been one of my absolute favourite stays. The Sofitel at Siem Reap is magnificent; a spectacular property, with generously-sized rooms, each with balconies / verandas; excellent facilities, including a picturesque lake with gardens, huge pool with in-pool bar, gym with sauna and steam room, and executive lounge; and impeccable service. There is very little to fault at all, and much to remember. Perhaps what most sets it apart is a sense of richness and tradition: from the signs explaining the many types of flowers that are used through the hotel, to the booklet in your room about the types of birds you can see and hear, to the nightly ritual of ringing a large bell on the lake, there is a sense that this place is not just a place to stay for the evening, but an establishment with history and depth that is waiting to be discovered. Accor ALL status is well recognised through early checkin and late checkout, welcome drinks, room upgrades, and access to the executive lounge with evening drinks and canapes. I imagine most folks to Siem Reap are visiting to see the old temples, but if you want a place for a memorable stay, too, I would not go past the Sofitel. Truly a spectacular experience.
