Almost a scam

I booked a room through a web page ibisramblamontevideo.guestreservations.com. I found misleading information about pricing and at the end for a three day reservation I paid 600 U$S that appeared when the transaction was finalised. Theoretically I shouldn’t pay taxes because of a foreign identify card but I was not reimbursed although taxes were included in the price.. And when I talked to the manager he didn’t accept any responsibility nor any type of compensation for that exorbitant price and the unfair price.

Quiero ser lo mas honesto posible, no pensaba contar lo malo o inesperado de mi estadía en este hotel, porque hasta de pronto son mas las cosas buenas que las malas. Pero contando lo malo se puede aprender y mejorar o se identifique el empleado que no tiene el suficiente sentido de pertenecía. Cuando empecé a buscar opciones para quedarme en Montevideo, este hotel me parecía que su oferta de precio, ubicación y calidad reunía lo que yo estaba buscando. Esta situado en un barrio normal tipo clase media, cerca al centro y no tan lejos de punta carretas y pocitos, los barrios mas movidos y atractivos, pero se puede ir a pie, pero no es aconsejable y de noche menos, por lo oscuro y solo, hay que tomar taxi que son mas económicos que los uber, aunque en Montevideo todo es caro. Además esta frente a la rambla Palermo, se puede caminar por ella a diversas horas, Las habitaciones son correctas, llegue un viernes en la noche, el domingo cuando desperté en un voltear de almohada, noté que estaba sucia de sangre, me asuste, tome las fotos, me revise haber si era yo, pero no. Baje a recepción la sra que me atendió se impresiono, copio las fotos y dijo que avisaría al gerente y a la persona del aseo. cuando regrese me encontré en el piso a la sra del aseo, me dijo que de pronto era mi culpa , que había empezado a votar sangre por la nariz o me había golpeado con la cama..... por dios, yo no tenia nada y en mi vida e votado sangre por la nariz. Decidí pasar por alto el caso para no amargar mi estadía en Uruguay. Pero nunca tuve una explicación satisfactoria, ni mucho menos una disculpa por parte del gerente. De quien es la culpa: de un empleado que quiere perjudicar a otro empleado en un cambio de turno ?.. de un empleado que quiere perjudicar al hotel ? o de la de la negligencia del gerente?. La comida es normal, ofrece una carta sencilla algo aburrida. Después de comer tanta carne en el día en la noche cuando llegue quería algo sencillo. me recomendaron una ensalada ibis, pero me decepcionó, tomates cherry en mal estado, aderezo no adecuado y oh sorpresa una grapa en la ensalada, que noté al sentirla en la boca. Llame a la empleada y le hice ver los dos detalles. Pero faltaba el postre : un flan deshidratado, con mucho tiempo de hecho que debió ser retirado días antes y no ofrecer al cliente. No tuve suerte en el hotel. Sin embargo hay material humano amable, solidario, especialmente Yanet, una joven cubana y yerri otro joven que parece también cubano y otros mas. Yo creo que deben tomar correcciones, hacer sentir a los empleados el sentido de pertenecía, hacer mas seguimiento al servicio prestado y no permitir que la negligencia o el ego de algún funcionario, destruya la imagen de un hotel, que ofrece en las paginas de turismo el hogar que uno quiere sentir cuando esta fuera de el. Volvería ? ummmm no se, tendría que pensarlo, podría sentirme en Transilvania, aunque yo la verdad lo que quiero es sentir la calidez de un hogar, cuando estoy fuera del mío y nunca la sangre de un huésped en la funda de la almohada sobre la cual dormí.
